Caroline Dorman Memorial Benefit:

Our Mission and History

The Caroline Dorman Memorial Benefit is an annual event launched in 2016 to honor the memory of Caroline Dorman by raising funds for the Connecticut Humane Society.

To date, we have raised $80,000 to help CHS provide love, shelter, and care for abandoned, neglected, and abused animals in need of adoption or fostering.

A lifelong resident of Farmington, Caroline attended the Farmington Public Schools, graduated from Farmington High School, and attended Tunxis Community College.

Caroline was an artist, a thinker, and a lover of animals, both great and small. Caroline volunteered for 8 years at the Connecticut Humane Society (CHS) in Newington, CT.  She was immeasurably generous with her time, energy, and love of the animals at CHS, where she became known as a "pit bull whisperer."

After Caroline’s untimely death in November 2015 at age 27, her family and close friends established the Caroline Dorman Memorial Benefit Fund to support CHS. Our first event took place July 31, 2016 at 50 West in Plainville.

Our Benefit Committee is comprised of Harriet Margolis, Larry Dorman, Carolyn Fink, Tom Sullivan, Jen Sullivan, Rita Demo, Jeremy Lundblad, Katie Bradley, Nora Lesko, Mike Feldman, Monica Feldman and Rachel Sit.
